Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful time at the hotel! The room was beautifully decorated and untouched, giving us plenty of time to relax before the wedding. The service was top-notch, with the staff being among the best I've ever encountered. The location was ideal, quiet yet close to town, perfect for exploring. The dining experience was good, although a bit rushed. Overall, a memorable stay!
The hotel offers spacious, comfy rooms, very well lit and with 3 chairs, plus a very good bathroom. The location is perfect for heading into Buxton, although not very welcoming. The dining experience is top-notch with a huge choice of hot and cold fare. However, it's a bit of a downside that the brightness cannot be adjusted, and the price for some services can add up.
The hotel at the end of the week was large with a bathroom including a bath and a lounge area. Overall, it was good but let down by lack of information in the room, faulty heating, pop-up sink plug jammed, light bulb blown, and poor decoration in the bathroom. On the bright side, the service was among the best we've ever met with extremely attentive and helpful staff. The location was convenient, being just a 5-minute walk from the center of Buxton. The dining experience was excellent with good choices and freshly cooked dishes. However, the hotel's interior needs a facelift.
